PROPERTIES
Imiprothrin is a household insecticide giving super rapid knockdown against cockroaches and other crawling insects. The knockdown efficacy against cockroaches was much superior to that of conventional pyrethroids such as Tetramethrin (Neo-pynamin) and Prallethrin (ETOC).
APPLICATIONS
Aerosols: The recommended dosage for aerosols is between 0.15% and 0.70%.
TOXICOLOGY
Acute toxicity:
Swallowed: LD50 (female rat) = 2400 mg/kg; LD50 (male rat) = 4500 mg/kg.
Skin: LD50 (male and female rat) > 2000 mg/kg.
Inhalation: LC50 female rat (4 hour) = 2.81 mg/L - 3.62 mg/L.
Irritancy:
Eye irritancy: Non irritating.
Skin irritancy: Slight irritating.
Sensitisation: Non sensitising.
Long term toxicity: Non teratogenic, non mutagenic, non carcinogenic, non genotoxic.
